So, in the new year, one of my goals was to post more “for fun” posts in addition to the recipes. So, in that vein, I am introducing “Friday Instagram Round-Ups”.

I cook about 5 nights a week, as well as baking on the weekend. But because of work and late nights and general exhaustion, I definitely don’t photograph and map out recipes for everything I cook. Plus, a lot of what I make us act as “try-outs” before cooking to present on the blog (some stuff occasionally misses the mark and needs some tweaking). BUT, I know a lot of you are interested in seeing what we eat on a regular basis. I’ve started posting most of our meals each week on Instagram for anyone who follows to see. ( I’m @thehumblegourmet. Come find me!)
So, without further ado, let me introduce the first “Friday Instagram Round-Up.”


Sunday morning breakfast of red currant scones with orange-vanilla glaze. Delish.


Having both been sick for the past, oh, MONTH, we warmed our bones with this sunchoke and artichoke heart soup, sprinkled with pancetta and crispy sunchoke chips and cheesy bread. I felt better.


One of our staple meals, zesty chicken with white bean stew. Simple and effective and hearty.
